Collective exhibition that brought together 16 creatives, each tasked with transforming a single found object—an empty hummus box—into a unique work of art. The challenge pushed these artists out of their comfort zones, inviting them to explore the concept of creation from emptiness.
Dripping, metal wires, masking tape, wool felt, polypropylene boxes.
To explain this dripping yellow monolith, I prefer to let the audience draw their conclusions. While I hold the hidden narrative, I am comfortable keeping it to myself and open to questions. Ultimately, however, you must interpret Dripping through your lens. The hummus represents the memory of its contents, and the polypropylene boxes remain just that—mere containers. The challenge was not recycling but the limitation of creative possibilities. Yet, there is always a new door to discover and open. Despite the project’s inherent aridity, which might provoke frustration and deep questioning, I embraced its creation joyfully, knowing the outcome from the start.
I can store it on a shelve now.
